The reaction was carried out in an autoclave preloaded with Pd/TiO2 catalyst (Pd loading of 5 mmol), AcOH/DMSO solvent mixture (10:1 by volume, total volume of 2.0 mL), NaOAc (1 mmol), and stirrer. The autoclave temperature was lowered to below 0 °C by liquid nitrogen cooling, followed by the addition of 1,3-butadiene in liquid form and the passage of O2 until the system pressure reached 2.5 atm. The reaction was continued at 50 °C for 24 h. The reaction was carried out at 50 °C. Upon completion of the reaction, the system was cooled to room temperature and the reaction mixture was analyzed by gas chromatography (GC). | [References]
