4-Benzoylphenyl acrylate can be used to produce polymeric films with excellent mechanical properties and thermal stability. Polymerization of 4-benzoylphenyl acrylate produces long chains of acrylic acid esters, which are crosslinked by intramolecular hydrogen bonds.
