Bromoenol lactone-d7 (BEL-d7) contains seven deuterium atoms at the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 positions. It is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of BEL by GC- or LC-MS. BEL is a selective, potent, irreversible, mechanism-based inhibitor of phospholipase A2 (iPLA2) with a Ki value of 180 nM.1 It also inhibits macrophage iPLA2 in a concentration-dependent manner with an IC50 value of 60 nM and is an effective enzyme-activated irreversible inhibitor of chymotrypsin (Ki = 636 nM).2,3WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use. | [References]
