28-O-Acetylbetulin (Compound 4) is a derivative of Betulin (HY-N0083). 28-O-Acetylbetulin has anticancer activity[1]. | [Biological Activity]
28-Acetylbetulin is a lupane triterpenoid and derivative of the cholesterol biosynthesis inhibitor betulin that has been found in M. chiapensis and has anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities.1,2 It inhibits LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin E2 production by 55.9 and 69.5%, respectively, in RAW 264.7 cells (IC50s = 4.7 and 1.7 μM, respectively).1 28-Acetylbetulin induces cytotoxicity in a variety of cancer cells, including A549, HT-29, and MCF-7 cells (IC50s = 14.37, 10.96, and 11.38 μM, respectively).2 | [References]
