Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Synthesis]
1-Cyclopropyl-2-bromoacetophenone (CAS [69267-75-0], 6.1 mmol, 1 g) and thiourea (6.1 mmol, 0.481 g) were mixed in 15 mL of methanol and the reaction mixture was refluxed overnight. After completion of the reaction, the solvent was removed by evaporation to afford 4-cyclopropyl-2-aminothiazole as an off-white solid (1.38 g, 100% yield). | [References]
