[Description] Bis(methylmercury) sulphate is an obsolete fungicide. Very little information has been published regarding its environmental fate or its ecotoxicology. It is highly toxic to mammals via the oral route and may also be a reproduction/developmental toxin.
[Production Methods] Bis(methylmercury) sulphate was historically produced via a reaction of methylmercury salts with sulphuric acid derivatives, yielding the bis(methylmercury) sulphate compound, which was then purified and processed into formulations for agricultural use
