2,2'-Diamino-[1,1;-biphenyl]-4,4;-dicarboxylic acid H2bpdc-(NH2)2. Dimethyl 2,2'-diamino-[1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-dicarboxylate(900 mg, 3.0 mmol) was dissolved in THF (20 mL) and 20 mL ofaqueous NaOH (0.6 M) were added dropwise under vigorous stirring.The mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature.The organic solvent was removed under vacuum and the aqueoussolution was acidified with acetic acid to yield a light brown solid(735 mg, 2.7 mmol, 90%). |
