Brilliant blue powder. Slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in dye solution. Aqueous solution is brilliant blue, turning blue with precipitation upon addition of sodium hydroxide. Dissolved in ethanol, it is brilliant blue. Golden yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid, turning light yellow-green upon dilution. During dyeing, the color becomes slightly darker in the presence of copper ions and darker in the presence of iron ions. | [Uses]
ACID BLUE 15 can be used for dyeing wool, silk, and wool blends. It can also be used for direct printing on wool, silk, and viscose fabrics, producing bright and vibrant colors. It can also be used in combination with acid mordant dyes to dye navy blue, enhancing its color. It can also be used in a neutral bath with direct lightfast dyes to dye wool/viscose blends. When used for dyeing wool with other fibers, wool, nylon, and silk achieve similar colors, polyester shows slight staining, and cellulose fibers do not stain. It is also used in the manufacture of organic pigments and for leather coloring. | [Preparation]

The strong sulfuric acid dyes in a golden, dilute to pale yellow green. The water solution is bright blue, add sodium hydroxide to shallow blue, have precipitation. Discharge of copper ions in dyeing color becomes the dark, encounter iron ion colored light is dark. Used for wool, silk and wool blended fabric dyeing and printing. Can also be used in leather color. The heavy metal salt can be used as organic pigments. The product are used for loose hair, tops and ground.
