Ac4-5SGlcNAc is a pro-inhibitor of carbohydrate-based glycosyltransferases (OGTs). Ac4-5SGlcNAc inhibits o-GlcN acylation and interferes with the effects of o-GlcN on neural induction of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs), and reduces the invasive phenotype of breast cancer cells.
