[Biological Activity] Non-selective calcium channel blocker and class IV antiarrhythmic agent; inhibits Na+-Ca2+ exchange; inhibits growth of brain tumor cells in vitro.
[in vivo] Bepridil hydrochloride (21 mg/kg) reduces heart rate and mean arterial pressure, decreases the mean coronary vascular resistance and increases stroke volume in rats^[1].
