Phenethyl-crotonate is used in perfume compositions for floral, Oriental, balsamic and herbaceous fragrance types, mainly as a modifier, a warm undertone and a supporting note to Labdanum, Rose, Sandalwood, Opopanax, Methylionones, Lavender and many other fragrance materials. It works particularly well with Opopanax.
