Pale yellow powder. It turns yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid and nitric acid, and remains pale yellow upon dilution. Its solubility in distilled water (50°C) is 30g/L. Its aqueous solution is pale yellow, and turns yellow upon addition of 1mol/L sodium hydroxide. It then turns pale yellow upon addition of hydrosulfite and warming, and becomes colorless upon addition of sodium perborate. | [Uses]
