n-Butyl decylenate has a powerful, rich, oily-fatty, fruity odor, reminiscent of the peel section of Peach and
Apricot. Natural-green undertones and moderate tenacity. Fruity-green, fresh and powerful taste. Used in flavor compositions for
imitation Apricot and Peach, occasionally
also Cherry and Plum or Mandarin.
Concentration is usually about 35 ppm in
the finished product, but in chewing gum it
may reach 2000 ppm. |
