Succinic acid tromethamine is a potent and orally active anxiolytic agent. Succinic acid tromethamine is an intermediate product of the tricarboxylic acid cycle. Succinic acid tromethamine (3, 6 mg/kg; p.o.) increases the percentage of entries into open arms and of time spent on open arms in male mice[3].
