[Uses] Protosappanin A dimethyl acetal is a homoisoflavonoid. Protosappanin A dimethyl acetal can be isolated from Caesalpinia sappan. Protosappanin A dimethyl acetal is also a competive inhibitor with significant xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity (IC50=50.7 μM)[1].
