Antineoplaston A10 is an antineoplaston that inhibits the growth of human hepatoma cells by inducing apoptosis. Antineoplaston A10 can be used in the study of liver cancer and breast cancer[1][2]. | [in vivo]
Antineoplaston A10 (0-600 mg/kg; p.o.; 6 days per week for 5 weeks) dose-dependently inhibits the growth of HepG2 and HLE cells in mice and dose-dependently increases the incidence of apoptotic cells in xenograft mice[1]. | Animal Model: | Balb/c athymic (nu+/nu+) female mice with hepatocellular carcinoma xenografts[1]. | | Dosage: | 0, 150, 300 and 600 mg/kg | | Administration: | Oral gavage (p.o.) 6 days per week for 5 weeks | | Result: | Reduced the expression of bcl-2 in the cytoplasm, and the bcl-2 positive cell rates decreased to 82.9, 69.4 and 56.3%, respectively.
Increased the expression of p53 in the nucleus, and the p53 positive cell rates increased to 20.6%, 36.2 and 60.5%, respectively.
