在冰浴冷却条件下，将3-巯基丙酸甲酯（6.5 g，54 mmol）溶于二氯甲烷中，缓慢通入氯气直至反应液呈现淡绿色。继续通氯气反应0.5小时后，用氮气吹扫以除去未反应的氯气。反应混合物用二氯甲烷萃取，合并有机相后用饱和食盐水洗涤，无水硫酸钠干燥，过滤并减压浓缩，得到3-(氯磺酰基)丙酸甲酯（9.7 g，收率96%）。
