Enzyminhibitor

This indole derivative (FW = 210.24 g/mol), also known as oxindole I, is a potent and selective inhibitor of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor protein-tyrosine kinase Flk-1 (i.e., fetal liver kinase-1), IC50 = 390 nM, but a weaker inhibitor of platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) protein-tyrosine kinase, IC50 = 12 μM. In addition, it also inhibits certain cyclin-dependent kinases: cyclin D1/cdk4 enzyme (IC50 = 4.9 μM) > cyclin E/cdk2 (IC50 = 10 μM) and cyclin B/cdk1 (IC50 = 10.2 μM).
