Beschreibung

This alkaloid is also found in the aerial portions of Vinca major and crystallizes as colourless prisms from MeOH. It has [o:]fl - 26° (c 105, CHCI3) and yields a crystalline dihydro derivative on reduction, m.p. 194-5°C. With LiAIH4 it furnishes Vincamajoreine (q.v.).
