Anti-CCR6 antibody produced in chicken is suitable for western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.
Allgemeine Beschreibung
The gene CCR6 (C-C motif chemokine receptor 6) encodes a chemokine receptor that is mainly expressed in B cells and memory T cells. It is also found to be expressed in dendritic cells, spleen, thymus, small intestine, and peripheral blood leukocytes. The gene is mapped to human chromosome 6q27. It shares sequence similarity with G protein-coupled chemokine receptor. The acidic amino terminal contains two potential N-linked glycosylation sites, and two additional ones are located in the first and the third extracellular loops.
Biochem/physiol Actions
The gene CCR6 (C-C motif chemokine receptor 6) encodes a chemokine receptor for the chemokine ligand CCL20, also referred to as LARC (liver and activation-regulated chemokine) or MIP-3 α (macrophage inflammatory protein-3 α). The binding of the ligand to the receptor facilitates the chemoattraction of immature dendritic cells, effector/memory T-cells and B-cells. It participates in pathology, including cancer and rheumatoid arthritis. In mucosal tissue, CCR6 participates in the regulation of humoral immunity and lymphocyte homeostasis. It also mediates dendritic cell localization.
