Industrielle Verwendung

The most important uses for electroless nickelare to protect parts from corrosion and to preventproduct contamination. The coatings arewidely used on tank-car interiors to protectcaustic soda, ethylene oxide, tetraethyl lead, tall oil, and many other liquids from contamination.Other similar applications include oil refineryair compressors, missile fuel for plates, gasstorage bottles for liquid, and pumps for petroleumand related products.
The hardness of the coatings is particularlyvaluable in increasing the life of rotating andreciprocating surfaces in gas compressors,pumps, hydraulic cylinders, sheaves, and armatures.The coatings are also used on aluminumelectronic devices to facilitate soldering, onstainless steel to facilitate brazing, on movingmetal parts to prevent galling, and on stainlesssteel equipment to prevent stress corrosioncracking.
