Description

This closely allied pregnane alkaloid is also found in Pachysandra terrninalis Sieb. et Zucco It is also optically active with [α]¹³_D + 80° (CHCl3). From spectroscopic evidence and chemical analysis, the structure has been established at 4-~-acetoxy- 3o:-benzoylmethylamino-20o:-dimethylamino-5o:-pregnane.
