(11Z,13E)-Hexadecadienal is a synthetic isomer of the hexane extract of the unmated female or female pheromone glands that can attract male Amyelois transitella (Walker) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) when mixed with (11Z,13Z)-hexadecadien-1-ol, (11Z,13E)-hexadecadien-1-ol, (3Z,6Z,9Z,12Z,15Z)-tricosapentaene (C23 pentaene)[1].
