일반 설명

Catalyzes the isomerization of peroxynitrite (ONOO^-) to nitrate (NO₃^-) under physiological conditions and at realistic dose-derived concentrations (K_cat = 2.2 x 10⁶ M^-1s^-1). Effectively prevents the oxidation of lipid components by peroxynitrite. Also decomposes superoxide radicals (O₂^?) catalytically. Irradiation of the aqueous solution at 335 nm releases hydroxyl (OH^?) radicals. FeTMPyP can also serve as a potential drug for reactive oxygen species (ROS) detoxification.
