Description

Methylphosphonic dichloride is used for the preparation of oligonucleotides. It is also used in Suzuki reaction. It serves as a precursor to several chemical weapon agents. Further, it reacts with hydrogen fluoride to get methylphosphonyl difluoride which is used in the production of sarin and soman nerve agents. In addition to this, it undergoes condensation reactions with aminobenzenes and alcohols.
