Description

Coproporphyrin I dihydrochloride is a porphyrin biomarker with an absorption of λmax 395 nm. Biologically, it is found in excrement as a result of the breakdown of billirubin which is itself, a catabolite of heme from hemoglobin breakdown. It has implications in catalysis, inorganic chemistry, and chemical synthesis.
