Sodium 1-?(Trifluoromethyl)?cyclopropanesulfinat?e acts as a reagent for the preparation of sulfinate salts from carboxylic acids and mercaptopyridine N-oxide via Barton reaction and ruthenium-catalyzed oxidation for C-H functionalization of heterocycles.
