Description

Pemirolast is a histamine H1 receptor antagonist and a mast cell stabilizer that prevents the release of histamine. It also blocks the release of substance P, neurokinin A, and calcitonin gene-related peptide from sensory nerves. Pemirolast has been used for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis.
