18:1 Biotinyl Cap PE is a fluorescent lipid that binds to microtubules in cells. By binding to the microtubules, it inhibits binding to targets, cell division, and movement. It is also used as a marker for homologous recombination, an imaging probe for lipid bilayers, and is detectable via fluorescence microscopy during mitosis and meiosis.
