Uses | Δ2-Cefepime is the Δ2-isomer of Cefepime (C242750), a new series of cephalosporins. | Uses | The Δ2-isomer of Cefepime (C242750), a new series of cephalosporins. | Preparation | First, cefepime and N-trimethylsilylacetamide were added to dichloromethane for 0.5 h. Subsequently, triethylamine dissolved in dichloromethane was added to the reaction system between 2-5 °C. Adjust the temperature to 2-5 °C and react for 24 h. After adding water, the aqueous layer was separated, and the aqueous phase was washed with methylene chloride. Wait for the solution to cool to 2-5 °C and adjust the pH=3 with sulfuric acid. Stir the resulting slurry for 2h. Filter to collect the solids and wash with water, adjust the pH=7.5-8.0 with sodium bicarbonate aqueous solution, add carbon, and stir for 30 min.
