Citronellyl methyl acetal is a colorless mobile liquid. Almost insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol and oils.
| | Uses | Citronellyl methyl acetal is used in perfumery in support of Geranium notes, particularly in better soap perfumes, etc. It can also be considered as a variation of the Citronellyl formate theme, and used as a modifier for the lower esters of Citronellol.

Citronellyl methyl acetal is produced from Citronellol plus Methanol plus Acetaldehyde. More commonly from Citronellol plus Acetaldehyde dimethylacetal.
