| Uses | Direct Black 17 (CAS# 2945-96-2) is an organic azo dye. When coordinted to Cu(II) metal centers, direct black 17 aids in the polarization of light in the near-UV region and visible spectra. | | Preparation | (a) 4-Nitrobenzenamine diazo, and 2-Amino-4-methylanisole coupling, again diazo, in alkaline conditions and 6-Amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid?coupling, and then will the nitro reduction for amino; (b) N-(4-aminophenyl)acetamide diazo, and 2-Amino-4-methylanisole close, then diazo, in alkaline conditions and 6-Amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid acid hydrolysis, then three amino acetylcholine. | | Properties and Applications | green light gray to green and black.
