| Description | O,O-Diethyl-S-methyl phosphorodithioate isan organophosphate and the methyl derivative of O,Odiethyl dithiophosphoric acid. The compound has partlyinsecticidal, acaricidal, and fungicidal activity and is usefulas an intermediate for organic synthesis. | | General Description | Solid. | | Reactivity Profile | Organothiophosphates, such as O,O-Diethyl S-methyl dithiophosphate, are susceptible to formation of highly toxic and flammable phosphine gas in the presence of strong reducing agents such as hydrides. Partial oxidation by oxidizing agents may result in the release of toxic phosphorus oxides. | | Health Hazard | Inhalation of material may be harmful. Contact may cause burns to skin and eyes.
