| Matridin-15-one, (5.beta.,7.beta.,11.alpha.)- Usage And Synthesis |
Description | A tetracyclic alkaloid present in Leontice Eversmanii Bge. this base is laevorotatory with [α]D - 7S.2°. It gives crystallines salts, e.g. the perchlorate, m.p.
252°C; methiodide, m.p. 297°C and the picrate as yellow needles, m.p.
177-9°C. The structure has been determined from the NMR and mass spectra.
The optically inactive form has been synthesized and has m.p. S5-7° C, giving a
crystalline hydrochloride, m.p. 215-7° C. | References | Platonova, Kuzovkov, Massagetov., 1. Gen. Chern. USSR, 23,880 (1953)
