| Chemical Properties | Cycloheptatriene is a clear yellow to brownish liquid. Insoluble in water and less dense than water. Vapors heavier than air. Inhalation of high concentrations may have a narcotic effect. It is a ligand in organometallic chemistry and as a building block in organic synthesis.
