| | 5-CHLORO-4-FLUORO-2-NITROANILINE Usage And Synthesis |
| Chemical Properties | orange crystalline powder | | Antimicrobial activity | 5-Chloro-4-fluoro-2-nitroaniline is an antimicrobial agent that has been used in the chlorinating of quinolinecarboxylic acid. It is also a reaction product of 5-chloro-4-fluoro-2-nitrobenzoic acid and sulfuric acid. The hydrolysis reaction produces 2,6 dichloroquinoline, which is then oxidized to 2,6 dichloroquinoline carboxylic acid by chlorine. |
