| YTTRIUM CHLORIDE HEXAHYDRATE Usage And Synthesis |
Uses | YTTRIUM CHLORIDE HEXAHYDRATE is widely applied in electronic ceramics, glass, and phosphors. High purity grades are the most important materials for tri-bands Rare Earth phosphors and Yttrium-Iron-Garnets, which are very effective microwave filters. Yttrium is used in the production of a large variety of synthetic garnets, and Yttria is used to make Yttrium Iron Garnets, which are very effective microwave filters.
| Chemical Properties | YTTRIUM CHLORIDE HEXAHYDRATE is white adhering crystalline powder | Uses | Yttrium(III) chloride hexahydrate can be used:- As a precursor to synthesize Y2O3–MgO nanocomposites via sol-gel processing.
- To prepare finely dispersed yttrium-aluminum garnet (YAG) powder for laser ceramics.
- As an additive to enhance the catalytic performance of activated carbon-supported Au catalyst (Au/AC).
