Uses	Methyl chrysanthemum is an important intermediate of pyrethroids, which can be used to synthesize allethrin, promethrin, permethrin, dimethrin, metothrin, pyrethrin, and fenothrin.
Synthesis	Methyl chrysanthemate was synthesized by reacting 2,5-dimethyl-2,4-hexadiene with methyl diazoacetate solution in prestence of a catalyst.
