| Chemical Properties | Trans-2,5-Dimethylpiperazine, a white crystalline solid melting at 118° C., has shown particular promise as an intermediate for linear polyamides because of its symmetry. The cis isomer, a liquid freezing at about 18° C., probably has limited use in polymers but is expected to be useful as a pharmaceutical intermediate.[2]
