| 2'-Hydroxyvoafoline Usage And Synthesis |
Description | This dimeric spiro alkaloid occurs in the leaves of Voacanga africana and crystallizes
as colourless, irregular crystals from MeOH. It has [α]578 - 300° (CHCI3)
and the ultraviolet spectrum in EtOH shows absorption maxima at 213, 260, 300
and 325 mμ with a shoulder at 225 mμ. The structure has been determined on
the basis of spectroscopic examination. | References | Kunesch, Das, Poisson., Bull. Soc. Chim. Fr., 4370 (1970) |
