Chemical Properties | 7-Acetamido-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid [6334-97-0] N-acetyl J acid, is produced by reaction of the sodium salt of J acid with acetic anhydride in aqueous solution at 20 – 30℃, followed by heating at 95℃ with sodium carbonate to hydrolyze any O-acetyl derivative present (yield 85 %).
