Anti-Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase η precursor antibody produced in rabbit Usage And Synthesis
Biological ActivityReceptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase eta is an enzyme encoded by the PTPRJ gene in humans. It is referred to as DEP1, SCC1, CD148, HPTPeta and R-PTP-ETA. It is a transmembrane protein-tyrosine phosphatase which acts as a suppressor of epithelial tumors. This gene may contribute to the mechanism of contact inhibition of cell growth. It acts as positive functional regulator in vascular cerebral arteriogenesis, involving differential platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)-B gene expression. Haplotypes in this gene may play a role in susceptibility to Non-Hodgkinμs lymphoma (NHL), by affecting activation of this gene in B-cell lymphomas.
