| Description | Hygromycin B is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that has been found in S. hygroscopicus. It is active against E. coli (MIC = 150 μg/ml) and cytotoxic to both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells via inhibition of protein synthesis.
