Synthesis | A mixture of 5-bromo-2, 3-dihydroinden-1-one, and NaBH4 in EtOH was stirred at 60° C for 6 minutes. After evaporation of the solvent, the residue was purified by chromatography (silica gel; 1:2 EtOAc/hexane), providing compound 47.2 in 100% yield.
