May float or sink in water. | | Air & Water Reactions | Slightly soluble in water. | | Reactivity Profile | AMMONIUM STEARATE has weak oxidizing or reducing powers. Redox reactions can however still occur. The majority of compounds in this class are slightly soluble or insoluble in water. If soluble in water, then the solutions are usually neither strongly acidic nor strongly basic. (2) Inhale the liquid of ammonium stearate made in step (2) into the emulsifying tank, and emulsify it under the condition that the speed of the emulsifying machine is 2,600-3,200 rpm until the color of the liquid turns into having a silvery-white metallic luster and the viscosity is ??350 cps, and then leave it to stand for 1-2 hours, and then filter it, i.e., to obtain the emulsion of ammonium stearate. |
