Properties:
Nickel Fluoride is a yellow-green tetragonal crystal that is soluble in water, acid, alkali, and liquid ammonia. It sublimates when heated to 1000°C in a hydrogen fluoride gas stream, and generates nickel when heated in a hydrogen gas stream. Nickel fluoride is a good ionic compound with good electrical conductivity and can be used to manufacture Lithium batteries and nickel-hydrogen batteries.
