1. Product information
Dimethylacetamide, also known as N, N-dimethylacetamide (chemical formula: CH3C (O) N (CH3) 2, abbreviated as DMAC or DMA). A commonly used non proton polar solvent. Colorless transparent liquid, flammable. It can mix with organic solvents such as water, alcohol, ether, ester, trichloromethane, and aromatic compounds at will. Used in the production of drugs, synthesis of resins, as well as as as a solvent for polyacrylonitrile spinning and an extraction and distillation solvent for separating styrene from carbon eight fractions. Made by the reaction of dimethylamine and acetyl chloride.
