Symptoms of exposure to this compound may include drowsiness, dizziness, sleeplessness, nervousness and excitability. Other symptoms may include sensitivity reactions, dry mouth, weakness, anorexia, nausea, vomiting headache, hypotension, polyuria, heartburn, diplopia, dysuria, blurred vision and dermatitis. Exposure to large amounts may lead to hallucinations, convulsions or death, especially in infants and children. There has been one report of left-sided blepharospasm and dyskinesia on the left side of the face. Other symptoms may include central nervous system depression, local anesthesia, skin sensitization, dryness of the nose and throat, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
