LyP-1 is a cyclic 9-amino acid tumor-homing peptide, with both the N-terminus and C-terminus of the peptide chain being Cys residues. The two thiol groups form a disulfide bond, enhancing the stability of the peptide. LyP-1 selectively binds to the overexpressed p32 receptor on various tumor-associated cells.
