Netakimab (brand name Effleura®) is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets interleukin‑17A (IL‑17A), a key pro‑inflammatory cytokine. By binding with high affinity to IL‑17A, it prevents the cytokine from interacting with its receptor (IL‑17RA), thereby inhibiting the downstream inflammatory signaling pathway. It is approved in Russia and some other countries for the treatment of moderate‑to‑severe plaque psoriasis and is also used for psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It is administered via subcutaneous injection.
